I have been photographing weddings for the past three years and have fallen deeply in love with the art of capturing the moments of a wedding day as they unfold. From the first tears of a bride as she sees herself in her dress, to the happy smiles and cheers of a newly wed couple walking down the aisle, to the first dance as husband and wife – I love it all.

Weddings require an intuitive sensitivity for the situation, and outstanding photographic technical competency. There are no second chances. Brides and Grooms entrust the professional wedding photographer with this, the most precious time of their lives, and in so doing create a strong partnership, if only for a fleeting moment.

I don't like to define my photography by styles. My goal is to photograph the wedding by sharing the couple's vision through the camera. When I explain to my clients the way I approach my work, I always make it a point to say, "I am going to stay as invisible as possible so I can capture the true emotions and events of the day." The moment a person is aware of the camera, their display of true emotion is lost. Likewise, if a photographer controls what happens in front of the camera, then the true story is replaced with a staged event. Out of respect for your special day, I will not interrupt "the moment" for a staged photograph.

Whether you prefer traditional wedding photography or a fresh, contemporary style, I can meet your needs. Once you book your wedding we will schedule a pre-wedding consultation. I will take the time to get to know what style of photography you prefer and capture the highlights of your wedding day for you to share with family and friends. During the pre-wedding consultation, we will set aside time throughout the day for specific posed photographs. This is the only time that I will be staging and directing what will be captured in your pictures. Even throughout these scheduled portrait times, I will make sure your personality and the mood of the day is captured by the camera.
